Fethiye is located in SouthWest Mediterranean Turkey, connected to all other cities by three highways and reached very easily. Dalaman International Airport is as close as 50 km. to the town centre. During the tourist season one can find many flights from major European cities to Fethiye. Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and warm, wet winters prevails in the region temperatures are approximately 30°C in summers and usually not less than 12°C in winters. Sea-water temperature is hardly below 17°C all year round. Fethiye is also ideal for people who enjoy something a little more adventurous. Scuba-diving, parachuting, canoeing, horse-riding, jeep and truck safaris, rafting and trekking are just some of the alternatives provided.

Fethiye, one of the oldest towns on the Lycian Coast, is also one of the most preferred and frequented towns on Turkey’s Mediterranean shores. The town is situated on a very secluded bay, which is a natural marina, strewn with islands. The marina shelters large and small leisure and charter boats as well as fishing boats, and is visited by numerous cruise lines.

Oludeniz Beach is surely one of the best beaches in the world. Such clean warm turquoise waters, countless shades of blue, perfect white shingle sand and nothing but sunshine for most of the year - so come and discover it yourself. It is surrounded in the east by Kıdrak and the Valley of Butterflies and, in the west, by Gemile and coves at the mouth of the valleys descending from the foot of Babadag The sand and pebbles of the vast coastline of the Beicegiz beach, carried in the direction of northwest by the waves and the wind, create a barrier between the open sea and the calm lagoon. That is why the region is called Olüdeniz, meaning stiI as a cadaver. The lagoon reaches a depth of approximately 40 meters towards the north, while it becomes shallow, down to 5 to 1 meters. in the southern part. The Kumburnu Strait, at the entrance of the lagoon from the open sea, is narrow and shallow, with a width of about 50 meters and a depth of 8-9 meters.

All along the Belcekiz beach, -a bit more expensive- you can find everything to eat and drink. The bars and restaurants are everytime ready for your service. The place which is called the Blue Lagoon is a National Park, which is fee-payed passing. Again, there are lots of things to eat, drink, and again, full of entertainment like water sports and beach volley, showers and WC. Besides, Ölüdeniz, is one of the most ideal places in the world for Paragliding. To make this sport, you don’t have to be experienced. All you have to do is, to choose which company to fly with, among lots of the agencies including Turkish Aeronautical Association.

Oludeniz - Babadag Flight Zone: Location; Mount Baba, which is located in Oludeniz/Fethiye in the province of Mugla, is 7 km inside inland. It rises just behind the lagoon of Oludeniz  and faces southward. The take off runway is reached via a 45 minute drive from Oludeniz.

Flight Season: Flights can be performed between April and October.

Regional Characteristics: Oludeniz, which is the first place where paragliding is performed in Turkey, has a world - wide fame. Its unique nature, sun and sea is enchanting thousands of national and foreign tourists every year, and has a structure appropriate for all kinds of outdoor activity. There is no transportation, accommodation and nutrition problems within the developed touristic center, region. Yacht tours are also drawing attention in the area. Mount Baba is preferred as trekking and camping area during summer and winter.
