The place where the beloved building blocks of childhood come to life is LEGOLAND Windsor. A place for the whole family to enjoy;
a chance for adults to reminisce and an unprecedented opportunity for children to engage with their LEGO. Start off at Miniland, where over 40 million bricks have been used.
Next, the very little ones can explore DUPLO Land and its mini train and adventure golf. Kids and grown-ups can both enjoy Traffic, with its boating school, driving school and fire academy.
LEGO City has a live action stunt show, an Xbox360 LEGO gaming zone, remote control trucks, and a JCB digging challenge. Next up, Adventure Land has an interactive water adventure, a dinosaur safari and for the very brave kids:
a climbing wall! There is a Kingdom of the Pharoahs which has an interactive laser tag ride and a kiddie Ferris wheel.
At Pirates’ Landing there is of course a gold sieving station where kids sieve enough gold to make their own pirate medallion, and a “pirate training camp” play area.
It is very hard to fit this and much more into one day; that’s why the resort has a hotel so you can stay another day (or two!) For more information, visit the website of Legoland Windsor.
Legoland Windsor is a child-oriented theme park in Windsor, Berkshire in England, themed around the Lego toy system.
The park opened in 1996 on the former Windsor Safari Park as the second Legoland after Legoland Billund in Denmark.
The park is located within close distance of Windsor Castle and about 8 miles west of London Heathrow Airport.
In common with the other Legolands across the world, the park’s attractions consist of a mixture of Lego-themed rides, models and building workshops.
The park was acquired by Merlin Entertainments in 2005, who now operate the park, with the Lego Group retaining part ownership. The facilities are mainly targeted at children between three and twelve.
In 2011, the park had 1.9 million visitors, making it the joint second most visited theme park in the United Kingdom with Thorpe Park and after Alton Towers, and the joint 10th most visited in Europe, again alongside Thorpe Park.
