Oakwood Theme Park, situated in Narberth, Pembrokeshire, has everything you’d expect from a fantastic theme park:

endless roller coasters, splashing water rides, thrilling family rides, and loads of fun for smaller and bigger children. Hold on to your seat on the enormous wooden Megafobia roller coaster, voted by fans to be the.

Or twist, drop, turn and soar on the unbelievably fast and aptly named Speed roller coaster. If you want to cool off, why not take the plunge on Drenched?

It drops you from 100 feet into a pool below at over 50mph. For kids who don’t feel confident to step on a big roller coaster, there is the gentle Treetops Coaster. It’s a laid-back introduction to the world of thrill rides.

Of course there’s also a swinging pirate ship, a 3D haunted house! If you don’t like the adrenaline pumping from your skull so much, you can chill out on a boating lake or play a game of mini-golf.

Or grab a tasty bite or refreshing drink from one of the many food stalls while the kids wear themselves out in one of the themed play areas. For more information, visit the website of Oakwood Theme Park.

Oakwood Theme Park is a theme park in Pembrokeshire, Wales which attracts over 400,000 visitors each year.

Oakwood opened in the late 1980s as a very small family park with BMXs, a wooden fort, a 3D-style cinema experience show, go-karts and a water chute ride.

The park has in recent years acquired a reputation for innovation and now incorporates five large thrill rides: Megafobia (1996), Vertigo (1997), Bounce (1999), Drenched (2002, as Hydro) and Speed (2006).

In 2006 Oakwood opened its latest ride to the public: Speed, a Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter roller coaster with a 97-degree drop.

This was the first Euro-Fighter in the UK and was at that time the steepest roller coaster in the United Kingdom, only being overtaken by the opening of Thorpe Park’s Euro-Fighter Saw: The Ride in 2009 and Mumbo Jumbo (rollercoaster) at Flamingo Land Resort in the summer of 2009.

The 85-foot-tall (26 m) CCI-built wooden roller coaster “Megafobia” has been rated among the best in Europe by enthusiasts.
