Cotswold Wildlife Park is a zoo spread across 160 acres of Burford’s lovely parklands. The park is home to many threatened and vulnerable species. Get incredibly close to some of the most beautiful and rare animals in the world, such as the Amur leopard. Though there are less than 50 Amur leopards.
Surviving in the wild, Cotswold has these elusive big cats on display. Each section of the park has a dedicated team of specialized keepers.
The Birds section of the park has Chilean flamingos, a collection of owl species, as well as several unusual birds. Remember to check out the adorable penguins at feeding time!
Also, take a look at a variety of small mammals, such as the meerkats, prairie dogs and otters, and don’t forget primates: gibbons, siamangs, lemurs, squirrel monkeys and many other small primates live here.
There are large mammals, too. A nicely crafted walkthrough section features wolves, tapirs and wallabies, but you can also see big cats, rhino, camels and zebra.
You will definitely tremble when you get up close with the crocodiles and pythons in the Reptile House and be amazed by the strength the leaf-cutter ants! For more information, visit the website of Cotswold Wildlife Park.
