In the rolling countryside of west Cambridgeshire lies Hamerton Zoo Park, with a unique collection of animals. A day out here is a memorable experience for visitors of all ages. The children’s play areas (one for toddlers, one for bigger children) are highly praised, and you can have something to eat.
One of the beautiful picnic gardens. Among the crowd favourites are the cheetahs and Bengal tigers, as well as smaller cats, including jaguarundis, oncillas and servals. Don’t forget to view the maned wolves, foxes, jackals and many other carnivores.
You can also meet camels, reindeer, and adorable pudus and squirrels. You may even find out what a viscacha is! In addition to the varied collection of birds, including cassowaries, cranes, scarlet ibises, various species of owl and the Australian kookaburra, there are also some impressive reptiles, among which are boa constrictors, bearded lizards and ancient giant spurred tortoises!
If you book your tickets in advance, you can even join a special keeper-for-a-day programme, in which you’ll be allowed to get up close and really personal with tigers, cheetahs, lemurs or a ten-foot boa constrictor! For more information, visit the website of Hamerton Zoo Park
