South Lakes Wild Animal Park is famous for its immersive experience, making a trip to the Cumbrian countryside entertaining and memorable, yet educative at the same time. You’ll find a spectacular range of animals here, and their environments have been designed in a very clever way, so you feel like you’re stepping.
Right into their world! Twice a day, a keeper feeds the giraffes. You can join them and handfeed a giraffe from a raised plateau. An amazing experience, and kids love it, too!
Check out the pack of mandrills, see white rhinos up close, feel the African lion’s roars and marvel at the unbelievably cute fennec fox. Or learn more about the critically endangered Siberian tiger (also known as Amur tiger), Sumatran tiger and the Rodrigues fruit bat!
Check out the red, and Western grey kangaroo, and three species of wallabies, then see who can name the most differences between them!
Don’t forget to swing over to the white-handed gibbons, and monkey around with the many species of lemur, tamarins and spider monkeys. There is so much to see and do that you will literally be walking around all day, immersed in nature! For more information, visit the website of South Lakes Wild Animal Park.
