It is visited by 45 million visitors per year, and is a fascinating country to discover and to discover more.

Spain is one of the cultural centers of Europe; it has been for thousands of years. So what’s attracting so much people to visit it? Let’s find out.

Spain is composed of coastlines, World Heritage cities, National Parks and cultural spots. Fiestas, events, arts and culture, food, nature, sports, and wine routes are just some of the things you can do to enjoy Spain and its heritage. But first things first, plan your trip.

Pack lightly extreme heat can really be a minus for anyone. Bring light linen, short-sleeved tops and avoid the woolies. Now that we’ve identified when to go and what to wear, next on the list is where should we go visit?

Spanish heritage includes cultural events mostly celebrated year round. In January, Festividad in San Sebastian is celebrated when the whole town dress up in costumes and just go crazy. Carnaval is celebrated all throughout the country in late February, go to Sitges it goes really wild up there. March marks Las Fallas with all night dancing, drinking, fireworks displays and processions. Try to book a reservation in Seville if you intend to visit during Semana Santa, which is also perfect place to be come April to enjoy Feria de Abril which is a week-long party.

Spain SanferminesIn July, The Running of the Bulls (Sanfermines) in Pamplona is unleashed. It is the most famous festival not only in Spain but around the world as well. Another famous event falls on the last Wednesday of August in a Valencian town of Bunol, where they celebrate the bounty of the tomato harvest, by filling up the streets with tomato! La Tomatina is an event that involves the throwing and sploshing of tomatoes everywhere and to anyone, unless they don’t do it to you first, that is, in a friendly riot. August also marks Semana Grande, which is simply a big party with a lot of drinking.

Spain hosts a lot of great parties and great food and usually they celebrate it with reason and tradition. So if you’re thinking of dropping-by make sure your pocket is as ready as your stomach. Ole!

Europe is famous for its spectacular seascapes and mountain slopes. The breath-taking views and hillsides will set a challenge to any trekker out there. What better way to see it all, but with a two-wheel phenomenon that’s revolutionalized the art of traveling. Biking has become a fad to most tourists and has become one of the better options to see the sights.

Biking in Europe is great alone, or with a companion. But first things first, you can’t use a bike to cross the seas. We have to figure out where to go and what to expect on the trip.

Biking in EuropeLake Garda: Where is the best mountain biking in Europe? The answer is “Lake Garda”. One of Italy’s most scenic and well-known lakes, Lake Garda lies at the foot of the Trentino Alps, and at its northern end lies the resort of Riva del Garda, an attractive mixture of ancient and modern. The mountains around Lake Garda offer plenty of possibilities for tough workout on your bike. Every year around the end of April and the beginning of May, the area around Riva is the venue of the Bike Festival.

Southern Europe includes Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece and Cyprus. Portugal’s topography includes the islands of Madeira and the beaches in the south. Unique sites include the historic centre of Oporto and the Belem tower in Lisbon. Spain is very well-known for its native dance, the flamenco and its scenery. The Royal palace in Madrid and the Plaza Mayor are the places to go in Spain. Asides from Italy’s trend setting fashion, Italy’s architecture says a lot about its history and heritage. The Coliseum and the Tower of Pisa are just few of the wonderful sites to see. Greece boasts 16,000 km of coastline and the famous names of mythology. You can bike along the Pelopponnese, the Ionian Islands, the Cyclades, and Mt. Olympus. Although small compared to other European countries, Cyprus has almost a million inhabitants. The Troodos volcano, the olive groves of Mesore, and Kolossi, the wine making region are places you can’t miss.

Western Europe contains Great Britain, Ireland, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Great Britain is Europe’s largest island, with England and its timeless monarchy. The Highlands of Scotland, the British Isles and the cliffs of Southern England are the places to trek. Famous for its unmatched cuisine, France is a place of style and spunk. The Eiffel Tower in Paris stands in majesty and try to bike along the regions of Provence, Alsace, Brittany and Burgundy. Comics and chocolate are some of Belgium’s creations. Just sitting between France and the Netherlands, Belgium’s coastline is perfect for biking. Netherlands’ tulip fields and mills are more than enough reason to go get that bike and stroll.

Northern Europe comprises of Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithunania and Switzerland. Northern Europe is a mix of Monarchies, gourmet delicatessen, cultural wealth, and the science of watch-making! Sceneries include Lake Constance in Switzerland, Dalsland in Sweden, the Fjords of Norway, Lapland of Finland, lakes of Mazurie in Poland, the Black Forest of Germany and the Jutland Peninsula of Denmark.

In the heart of Europe you’ll discover the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria. Beautiful country sides, a birthplace for scientific and artistic geniuses, numerous caves, traditional music and flora and fauna are the best to describe this part of this European landscape.

In Europe, there will always be a place to captivate an adventurous spirit, whatever your traveling means may be.
